Pat’s reputation for quality work and excellent customer skills has been the trademark of his work history in construction. Pat entered the world of construction in 1993 as a means to pay for his education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas in Economics, which he obtained while working full-time in the construction field. He started his apprenticeship in 1993 and became a journeyman carpenter soon after graduation in 1998.
Pat started his own company in 2006, with a focus on creative integrated carpentry building. He has created a base of customer support that praises his ability to handle all aspects and responsibilities of the home remodeling, carpentry design, and construction process. People in the community go to him for expert advice, and his history of project successes has made him a valuable resource to this area’s neighborhoods.
Andy Triplett started his construction career in 1987 working for a residential remodeler in his hometown of Cloquet, MN. He moved to Excelsior in 1988 to start his framing career, then became the lead carpenter of a framing crew within three years. Andy received his contractor’s license in 1998 and started his own remodeling and framing company sho0rtly thereafter. He took a position as a project manager for Crawford Merz Anderson Construction in 2007. It was here that Andy worked with Pat on various commercial projects. Andy joined Patrick Dorn Construction in September 2013 as a co-owner, and together Pat and Andy have grown the company every year since.
